| How nice to at last to see
another photo of the Face! And how disappointing
at first glance. But when Paul and I zoomed in
for a close-up, full screen view of the photo, I
was immediately struck by what looked like
nostrils and the bridge of a nose. That and the
other features pointed out, above, answer the
question, for me at least, "is this really
the right photo?" It does look like natural
features which just happened to cast shadows
resembling a face. On the other hand, what if
were intelligently carved long long ago? We
certainly wouldn't expect to still see a pristine
carving; look at how the years have worn down,
and blurred the outlines, of Earth's ancient
stonework. Perhaps we'll never know for sure
until a future archeo-astronaut excavates.
Meanwhile, in the Rohrschat Blot department,
doesn't the Face look more like a Templar Knight
in beard and helmet, than an the previously
suggested ancient Egyptian in a headress? -- Laura Lee
