In one of his most specific and least understood prophecies Nostradamus predicted that in July of 1999 the King of Terror would come out of the sky and resurrect the King of Angolmois.

Century X, Quatrain 72 states:

In the year 1999 and seven months

From the sky will come a great King of Terror

He will resurrect the great King of Angolmois,

Before which Mars rules happily.

Let’s start deciphering this prophecy by decoding the King of Angolmois. Who or what is Angolmois? Without the final ‘s’ this place name would be an anagram for Mongolia. The first Mongolian most interpreters of Nostradamus think of is Genghis Khan. Thus, say the interpreters, the King of Angolmois must be a reincarnated Genghis Khan who will lead a massive final slaughter of humanity. (Interestingly, Genghis Khan was voted the "Man of the Millennium" by the Washington Post.)

I have a different take on this king of the Mongols. In the Buddhist tradition, Mongolia is the location for Shambhala, a paradise which is equated with the home of the gods who came from Sirius. In numerous traditions, this paradise is known as TULA, which is the Greek and Mayan name for the galactic core, the center of the Milky Way galaxy from whence the ancients believed our souls originated. The myths of the Maya, Toltecs and Aztecs tell of bearded, bland white men who came from a kingdom in Mongolia called Tollan located near Lake Baikal and the river Tula. These Mongolians said they had come from Atlantis and sailed around the world founding new Tulas along the way and naming them after their homeland.

From this, we may deduce Nostradamus’ King of Angolmois may have a connection with the god beings of ancient Egypt, Atlantis and beyond.

Who then, is the King of Terror? The King of Terror has been interpreted as an asteroid or an alien invasion in July, 1999 which will result in the destruction of millions of lives.

Terror can certainly mean chaos, degeneracy, This, however, may not be quite what Nostradamus had in mind. Growing up in Southern France, Nostradamus certainly knew the legend of the Holy Grail. In her book THE HOLY GRAIL, Norma Goodrich tells of an French author who recounts his traumatic first viewing of the Grail in his work the Grand-Saint Graal. ?In 717 AD, this Frenchman was paid a visit one morning by a beautiful young man. After a brief interview, the beautiful young man bent down and blew in the face of the Frenchman causing his ‘vision’ to become one hundred times stronger. His vision enhanced, the author was able to recognize the young man as none other than Jesus.

Jesus then proceeded to give the Frenchman a tiny book, no bigger than the palm of his hand. When the author looked at the book he saw that it read: "Here Commence the Reading concerning the Holy Grail." Then he read: "Here commences Terror." As the Frenchman pondered this title, he saw a flash of lightning. From this point forward, at least in Southern France, terror, Jesus, the Holy Grail and enlightenment were linked.

Corroborating the identification of Jesus with the King of Terror is the famous English runic object known as the Frank’s Casket, dating to around AD 700 and named after the man who donated most of it to the British Museum. The front of the box (below) has a scene of the Adoration of Christ. The main inscription can be read clockwise round the box. The text us a riddle about the origins of the material (a whalebone) from which the box is made:

"The fish beat up the seas unto the mountainous cliff; the KING OF TERROR (Jesus) became sad when he swam onto the shingle."

In my book THE PEACEMAKER AND THE KEY OF LIFE, I connect the prophecies of the King of Terror with the opening of the Hall of Records underneath the Pyramid complex in Egypt. The Hall of Records is marked by the Sphinx, a composite beast of the lion, bull, human and eagle. In the Arab tradition, the Sphinx is called the Father of Terror!

According to the prophecies of Edgar Cayce, the Hall of Records will be opened in 1998. Cayce predicted that the revelation of this knowledge will bring about the transformation of the existing world order.

In corroboration of Nostradamus’ 1999 date, on August 11, 1999, a rare astrological alignment of the planets called the Grand Cross will form. The Grand Cross is formed by an opposition of Venus (in Scorpio) to Saturn and Jupiter (in Taurus, lying at a 90 degree angle with the opposition of Neptune and Uranus (in Aquarius) to the Sun, Moon and Mercury (in Leo),

These four zodiacal signs – Taurus the bull, Leo the lion, Scorpio the eagle and Aquarius the human – are the four beasts of the Apocalypse, the four beasts of Ezekiel’s chariot and the four beasts of the Sphinx. They are also, significantly, the last card of the tarot – the World,, or the Wheel of Time.
