The same "technical language" based on astronomy and the cycles, or Ages marked by the Precession of the Equinox, and encoded in myth and monument, that William Sullivan uncovers in The Secret of the Incas was used by the ancient Egyptians. Bauval and Hancock suggest that the legendary "First Time" revered in ancient texts was 12,000 years ago, when survivors of a highly advanced, worldwide culture started anew after a cataclysm that destroyed much of their civilization, and that triggered our present amnesia.
