The Laura
Lee Show
Party
Levitation Experiment
|
Our Party Levitation Experiment
took place on Friday, March 20th, 1998 at 7:30
PM. Here is ....Clockwise, beginning with Paul
in the red shirt, Margie Smith, Rhona Eklund with
arms crossed "pharoah style," about to
be lifted, Laura Lee, and Beverly Walton. All
hands are laid over Rhonda's head as we count to
nine .....

....and on ten, lift! This is
with just our index fingers of each hand placed
side by side, under Rhonda's knees and arms. Jo
Curran was also present during our Levitation
Party. She took these photos. We used
Richard Lefors Clark's
instructions, and modified them a bit.

Report on Party
Levitation by Laura Lee
During our first session,
on the morning of 3/20/98, present were Cate Buckley,
Rhonda Eklund, Jo Curran, Paul and Laura Lee.
We read through
Clarks instructions, tried it out a few times
.. nothing happened. We didnt get anyone up
out of the chair. So we reread the instructions, and made
a few minor adjustments. We changed the postition of our
chair to face due North, and we learned that we are to
take hands from stacked over Liftees head to under
knees or arms on the count of nine, not ten as we had
been doing, and suddenly, it worked every time!
We all took turns being
the Liftee. We four girls even got 180 pound Paul off the
chair and up into the air as far as our arms extended!
Size and weight didnt matter. And although Clark
recommends male/female/male/female for the Lifters, our
group of all girls, and one guy, had no problems.
Once we got the Liftoff
working, we experimented with the chair facing various
directions. It didnt matter what direction it
faced, it worked all the same. We put a blanket over the
chair to soften the landing of the Liftee.

It
was also interesting that the day of our
experiment was the Equinox. We easily managed to
get eggs to stand on end on the counter. It felt
like they "clicked into place" when we
got them to stand up. (see photo, "egg
standing") Will this work any other day of
the year? Im going to have to try that and
see.

Later that day, we
reconvened. Present at our second session were: Rhonda
Eklund, Jo Curran, Bev Walton, Margie Smith, and Paul and
Laura Lee. We realized we needed a sixth person to take
photos.
And, yes we did the
"control" every time before Liftoff. Prior to
hands stacking over the head, the Liftors would put those
same two index fingers under knees or arms of Liftee and
try lifting. The result: The Liftee felt like a ton of
bricks! Limbs would go up slightly, but the bottom stayed
on the chair seat. What a change when we held hands over
head and counted. Up you go, almost springing out of the
chair. Perhaps this is some hypnotic effect, or perhaps
this effect results somehow by the hands placed
alternately, first left hands, then right hands, over the
Liftees head, and counting. We found that exerting
a slight pressure helped the effect. Is a magnetic effect
created by this simple exercise, as Clark suggests?
We made a number of
additions to our protocol which may work for you, too.
They are not necessary to get this to work, but we found
them useful. Inspired by the time Paul and I spent with
John Anthony West in the Great Pyramids King
Chamber, as we took our turns laying in the Sarcophagus,
I suggested we add a new bit: Prior to stacking of hands,
each Lifter placed their hands together, and toned
"Om". We felt it helped unite the energy of the
group. And who knows, I think there is something to sound
used in levitation.
And I suggested the
Liftee fold arms, "pharoah style." After all,
this was what the mummies did, in preparation to having
their soul launched heavenward. Jo felt this addition had
the practical advantage of keeping the arms neatly
placed, offering easier access for the Lifters to quickly
getting the two fingers under the armpits for lifting.
Doing so between the counts of 9 and 10 doesnt
allow much time.
Our most exciting
addition: we discovered that we could hold the Liftee up
longer than the quick moment up and down. I remembered
how both Uri Geller had said shouting at the broken watch
to "work, work!", and Jack Houck had said,
similarly, shouting at the spoon to "bend,
bend!" in spoonbending was an important factor in
getting the energy going. So I figured that if we kept
counting, we would keep the energy going. And it did! The
first time we tried this, Rhonda was the Liftee. At the
count of ten, we lifted, and continued counting to
twenty. She stayed aloft, held up by just our fingers.
"I felt like we could have kept going, but I was
starting to get worried hanging in the air up there. That
broke the spell," she said.
We just kept getting
better and better at this. And you can believe that party
levitation will be a feature at my future gatherings!
